Katie Maloney
When we lift our voices our hearts open. When we tune our voices together we experience our connection to each other, to our ancestors and to our humanness. Through song we remember our belonging to something greater than ourselves.
Gratitude, joy and grief are tended to by singing from the heart. This Song circle is for everyone regardless of singing experience.
Katie creates a container for us to allow heart songs to fulfill their purpose of calling our spirits back. She also utilizes gathering in circle in her work as a doula and an activist, centering authentic connection and community care.

Krissy Shields
Wellness expert, artist and activist, Krissy Shields is the founder of Maha Mama, where for 20 years she’s been empowering women and families with accessible movement practices, spiritual herbalism and mindfulness. Weaving together her passion for social justice and advocacy for maternal health, she’s led yoga teacher training programs around the US, taught in homeless shelters, prisons and public schools, and has led global experiences to foster wellbeing through embodied movement and collective care. She lives with her family in New York City and the Catskills, where she is in deep reciprocity with the land.

Your Host, Bianca Velez
Bianca has been engaged in work with the body for over 25 years, exploring the intersections of movement, awareness, and healing. She draws on the natural world as both teacher and ally—learning to forage and cultivating a rich connection to place.
She is a certified Pilates instructor of over 15 years and a student of Somatic Experiencing, with a teaching style that integrates mindfulness, embodied language, meditation, and a grounded understanding of the brain-body connection. Her classes are shaped by a lifelong love of movement, beginning with childhood training at a Russian ballet school.
Holding a graduate degree in World Religion and Culture, alongside studies in Jungian and social psychology, she brings a depth of insight into the human experience. She is especially passionate about gathering women in nature and creating spaces for connection, reflection, and embodied presence.

Located at 1931 State Route 97, Pond Eddy, NY 12770, our retreat is nestled along the Delaware River, on land steeped in centuries of history and natural beauty. The house, built in 1768—years before the signing of the U.S. Constitution—stands as a quiet witness to the nation's early beginnings. Situated along the Upper Delaware Scenic Byway, this region has long served as a refuge for those in search of peace, inspiration, and connection to nature.
The surrounding river valley teems with ecological diversity. Native plants such as river birch, sycamore, and an array of wildflowers thrive along the banks, creating essential habitat for migratory birds, native fish, and countless other wildlife species. This rich biodiversity is both a draw for nature lovers and a testament to the area's enduring ecological health.
There’s a sacred quality to the land that continues to draw people back. Whether it's the calm of the river, the depth of the area's history, or the warmth of the community, 1931 State Route 97 offers a sanctuary for reflection, renewal, and inspiration.
